WRI India Signs MoU with Bodoland Territorial Council to Develop Regional Spatial Strategy

On 17th January, WRI India signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) as part of the Eco City-Regions project. The agreement aims to provide knowledge support in capacity building, data analytics, and the co-creation of a regional strategy for the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR).

The MoU was signed by Mr. Akash Deep, Principal Secretary of BTC, and Madhav Pai, CEO of WRI India, in the presence of the Hon’ble Chief Executive Member (CEM) of BTC, Shri Parmod Boro. The event was attended by key officials, including Mr. Wilson Hasda, Executive Member of BTR, social activist Raju Nerjary, and representatives from various departments such as Urban Development, Panchayat and Rural Development, Forest, and Water Resources. Over 150 stakeholders, including government officials, media personnel, and members from local administration, municipal boards, and village councils, were present at the occasion. Rejeet Mathews, Program Director – Urban Development, and Neha Lal, Manager – Urban Development from WRI India, also participated in the event.
