Thriving Eco-City Regions Team Conducts Workshop in Delhi

Overview

Date: 18th and 19th May

The Thriving Eco City-Regions team at WRI India came together for a dynamic two-day workshop in Delhi, marking the first in-person meeting for this pan-India initiative. With representatives from 12 cities, including Srinagar, Kochi, Nagpur, and Kokrajhar, the workshop served as a platform to align strategies, share experiences, and exchange ideas.

The team engaged in insightful discussions on the unique narratives of each city-region, delving into their distinct cultures, economies, and urbanization challenges from a people-centric perspective. These narratives offered valuable insights to guide ecologically resilient practices tailored to the specific contexts of each region.

Key sessions focused on:

  • Strengthening our Theory of Change by reflecting on year-one learnings.
  • Building effective Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) frameworks.
  • Leveraging social media strategies to amplify impact and engagement.

By uniting diverse perspectives, the workshop reinforced our commitment to collaborating with government partners in framing sustainable and inclusive urban solutions for thriving eco-city regions.
