The seventh session of MANTHAN for the Jalandhar Eco City Regions Fellows was facilitated by Sandeep Paul, an expert in urban design and co-founder of The Urban Lab, as well as a visiting faculty member at CEPT University. This session focused on urban design practices and provided an in-depth discussion on ongoing landscape projects in Jalandhar.

Key highlights from the session included:

•  Urban Design Practices: Fellows were introduced to different stages of urban design projects, with emphasis on concept development and project implementation.
• Case Studies and Examples: The session featured both national and international examples to offer practical insights into design solutions.
•  Pond Rejuvenation & Landscaping: A significant focus was placed on pond rejuvenation projects in Jalandhar, along with landscaping initiatives along water bodies and natural infrastructure in the city.

Through this session, fellows engaged in conceptual exercises and synthesized learning to apply the ideas to real-world urban and landscape projects, especially those that impact the natural infrastructure of the city.
