MANTHAN 4.0, held on October 30, 2024, continued the series' mission of fostering collaboration and capacity building among Jalandhar Eco City-Regions Fellows. The session was led by Sindhuja Janakiraman, Senior Program Associate - Urban Water Resilience, WRI India, and centered on enhancing urban green spaces to promote environmental sustainability and improve the quality of life in Jalandhar.
The Fellows were introduced to a successful case study of Jakkur Lake in Bengaluru and the NammaBlueGreenUru initiative by WRI India. This case study showcased effective nature-based solutions for climate adaptation, providing actionable insights and inspiration for creating urban green spaces in Jalandhar.
The discussion covered key aspects such as landscape design, amenities, sustainability, and community well-being, equipping the Fellows with the knowledge to integrate these elements into their efforts to enhance the urban environment.
